SAN ANTONIO, Texas (WRCB) -- Chad Voytik has already had quite a few memorable experiences in his senior year at Cleveland High School.

He starred in a reality show on Versus that chronicled his final prep season. He played in a game televised nationally by ESPNU. He also chose Pittsburgh as his future college destination.

But this weekend may top it all.

Voytik is set to play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on Saturday in San Antonio. The high school all-star game features 100 of the top college prospects in the country and will be televised nationally on Channel 3 at 1 p.m. ET.

"We've had ESPN at our high school and other stuff happen, but it won't compare to this," Voytik said in an interview conducted by the U.S. Army Bowl staff this week. "People are watching this and they know about it all around the country. It's a great stage to show our talents and go out and perform."

The 6-foot, 200-pound signal caller has met many of his fellow all-americans at camps over the past few years, including the prestigious Elite 11 passing camp last summer, but he's never lined up and played an actual game with and against a collection of talent like this.

"I haven't gotten too good a look at everyone just yet, but I'm sure we'll see a lot on the field," Voytik said. "I know some of these guys, just by looking at them, that they're big studs. They're obviously the big shots at their high schools and they're here for a reason.

"I'm excited to see what happens on the field."

Voytik gave his verbal commitment to Pitt over the summer and never wavered when Panthers' coach Todd Graham left for Arizona State. He vowed to honor his pledge shortly after Graham's departure in mid-December, and reaffirmed it with great enthusiasm when Pitt announced the hiring of Wisconsin offensive coordinator Paul Chryst.

"I'm still very excited about being in Pittsburg, which is an hour away from some of my family and some cousins that live up there," said Voytik, who will actually be joined at Pitt by one of those cousins. "Coach Chryst coming in from Wisconsin and bringing that offense is really exciting, so I can't wait to get rolling there and get plugged in with it."

Voytik is one of five players from the state of Tennessee scheduled to play in the game, along with Jackson Christian wide receiver Drae Bowles (Alabama commit), Memphis East running back Brian Kimbrow (Vanderbilt), Brentwood Academy offensive lineman Graham Shuler (Stanford) and Memphis Wooddale running back Jovon Robinson (Auburn).

Former Cleveland coach E.K. Slaughter is with Voytik in San Antonio this week to attend a coaching clinic.

The Blue Raiders' new quarterback, junior Austin Herink, is also there as part of the U.S. Army Junior Combine. That event, which features 500 of the top 11th-grade prospects in the country, also includes Signal Mountain quarterback Reese Phillips and Baylor linebacker Colton Jumper.

Cleveland junior running back/linebacker David Morgan is with Boyd-Buchanan lineman Malik Brewer at the U.S. Marine Corps Semper Fidelus junior combine in Phoenix.
