CHATTANOOGA, TN. (WRCB) -- Holiday shoppers flocked to shopping centers the day after Christmas but retailers were ready.
"We plan for weeks in advance as we're making our schedule," says Target Manager Todd Bridges. He says returns and exchanges always top the list the day after Christmas.
"Well, I thought I would make the few returns and exchanges that we needed to before everybody else got out of bed," says shopper Kari Streufert.
"You know, as the kids get into those teenage years, its harder to get the perfect gift for them every time," says Gary Dupree.
However, returns weren't the only reason shoppers hit the mall. Dupree hopes to find that deal of a lifetime. "There's been a few things the kids are getting, a few things exchanged that we got them that they didn't like," he says.
"We're just looking for the best deal, see what we can find," says one shopper.
At Target, shoppers stocked up on clearance items which just so happen to be Christmas and holiday decorations.
It may be a year too soon, but these shoppers are taking advantage of any deal they can get.
"I'm hoping to maybe stumble upon some good sales today," says Streufert.
