NEWPORT, Tenn. (AP) - Cocke County authorities have charged three people with holding a special-needs adult in a bathroom without food.

Sheriff's deputies discovered 23-year-old Aaron Crosswhite had been duct-taped and was locked in a bathroom at his family's home in Cosby.

WVLT-TV in Knoxville reported Crosswhite survived because someone sneaked him food (http://bit.ly/u2Wy8j )

The man's mother, Jane Crosswhite Morris, and his caretaker, Candace Dress, were charged with kidnapping and domestic assault.

Deputies said Jason Charles Dress taped Aaron Crosswhite. He was charged with false imprisonment.

Morris and Candace Dress were held Friday morning in the Cocke County Jail, where records don't show if they have attorneys. Jason Dress had made bond.
