CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - Thursday the Rotary Club hosted a forum to discuss urban growth.

Five panelists from the public and private sector took questions.

While consolidated government was the big elephant in the room, there was a lot of discussion about jobs and schools, and how to stay ahead.

     Jack Studer, Chattanooga Renaissance Fund, "We need to hold ourselves to the standard that just catching up to what we need isn't good enough."

    Philip Oldham, UT Chattanooga, "We need a more highly skilled workforce, it needs to be pretty slanted toward the technical areas."

The Rotary Club plans to host additional forums on urban growth next year.
