CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) -- A man that walked into a local emergency room is believed to be connected to a robbery and drug deal gone wrong in Hixson.
A young black male showed up at a local emergency room suffering from a gunshot wound to his arm.
The victim told police that he was walking in the area of N. Orchard Knob Avenue and Walker Street when he was shot.
The victim however, could not provide police with the circumstances of his shooting or any suspect information.
Police also were not able to locate a crime scene where the victim said he was shot.
At the same time of the reported shooting, officers in Hixson responded to a call of a robbery at Hixson Court Apartments.
Police were responded after a black male victim reported that he went to visit a friend and was accosted by several black male suspects.
The robbery victim was pistol whipped and robbed of his wallet, keys, and cell phone. Like the shooting victim, the robbery victim could not provide details of the robbery.
Investigators are now interviewing both men to see if and how both calls are connected.
This is an on-going investigation and no other details are available.
It happened shortly after 8 p.m. on McCutcheon Road near Lee Highway.
