
CLEVELAND, Tenn. (WRCB) -- D.J. Bowles scored a game-high 24 points and hit eight of nine free throws in the closing three minutes to hold off rival Bradley Central for a 63-61 road win Tuesday night.
The Blue Raiders (7-2, 4-0 in District 5-AAA) opened double-digit leads in each half, only to watch the host Bears storm back. Cleveland pushed ahead 57-45 with 2:57 to play, but nearly collapsed as Bradley Central answered with an 11-2 run to pull within 59-56 with 39 seconds to play.
The Blue Raiders sealed it at the free throw line, and Bradley hit a basket at the buzzer for the final two-point margin.
Miles Morgan led the Bears (7-3, 1-2) with 17 points. Jarod Rhodes added 16 for Cleveland.
