Funeral services planned for Athens ATV crash victim

ATHENS, McMINN COUNTY (WRCB) -- Visitation will be held tonight for a young EMT who died in an ATV accident.

Friday, 22-year-old Zachary Shultz died the day after a crash on Highway 305 in McMinn County.

Investigators with the Tennessee Highway Patrol say his ATV rear-ended another, throwing all four riders onto the roadway.

According to the crash report, none of the victims were wearing helmets, and two others were taken to hospitals in critical condition.

The family is receiving friends from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Woodward Church of God in Athens. Tuesday, another visitation will be held from 11:00 -1:00 p.m.

The funeral is will follow at 1:00 p.m.
