NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The Tennessee Wildlife Federation's Hunters for the Hungry program has appealed to hunters to donate harvested deer to food banks and soup kitchens.
The federation said in a news release this would help make sure hungry Tennesseans are served through the colder months.
The program began in 1999. By the end of this deer season, the program will have provided more than 3 million meals.
