Nurse accused of selling patients' medications

SUMMERVILLE, CHATTOOGA COUNTY -

(WRCB) – A North Georgia nurse is off the job, following a pain pill arrest.

Julie Barber worked at the Oak View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Summerville.

Police say she's charged with more than a hundred counts, including drug possession and abuse of an elderly or disabled person.

The facility says she would steal pain medications when patients didn't take them, and sell them.

They say she's no longer an employee.

Barber's husband is in jail on unrelated charges.
