(WRCB) – An all clear has been given at the Bradley County Courthouse after a scare caused a shut down Wednesday.

A spokesperson for the county mayor's office says an employee opened an envelope in the Court Clerk's office and white powder spilled out.

After initial tests, the powder was determined to be talcum powder, not a biological agent.

Officials evacuated the courthouse and several employees were taken to SkyRidge Medical Center for decontamination as a precaution.

Investigators are still looking into who sent the letter to the courthouse.
