KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Tennessee coach Derek Dooley says sophomore wide receiver Da'Rick Rogers has neither been suspended nor dismissed from the team.
The Volunteers coach released a statement Friday in response to multiple media reports in Knoxville that the Calhoun, Ga., native's status with the team was uncertain.
Those reports said Rogers might have to earn his spot back on the team after having a meeting with Dooley on Friday.
But Dooley said in his statement that Rogers "is still a part of our football team."
Rogers led Tennessee with 67 catches for 1,040 yards and nine touchdowns in 2011.
