Former commissioner settles sexual harassment suit

CHATSWORTH, MURRAY COUNTY -

(WRCB) - A sexual harassment suit against the former sole commissioner of Murray County has been settled out of court.

Charlene Miles claims David Ridley physically and verbally harassed her, and forced her to do inappropriate acts.

She filed a federal lawsuit after receiving a right to sue letter from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Her suit also named Murray County, but earlier this month a judge dropped five of her six complaints.

No one is revealing the settlement terms between Miles and Ridley.
