CHATSWORTH, MURRAY COUNTY (WRCB)-- A federal judge recommends dropping some of the complaints filed against Murray County in a hearing for a sexual harassment case.
Days before the county's sole commissioner, David Ridley, unexpectedly resigned, a female employee under his supervision filed a sexual harassment complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Ridley resigned March 28th, citing a need to concentrate on his family and business operations at a poultry farm he owns.
Soon after, Ridley's accuser filed suit against him and the county.
A federal judge has recommended dismissing five of the six charges against the county.
The decision has no affect on the case against David Ridley.
Greg Hogan, a former mayor of Eton, was elected to serve as sole commissioner in July.
