Weekend concert scheduled for Paralympic hopeful

Posted: Updated:

LAFAYETTE, WALKER COUNTY (WRCB)-- A north Georgia teenager is halfway to his goal of reaching the 2014 Paralympics.

Caleb Stallings hopes to compete in the Nordic ski competition.

Trials are next month in Colorado, but the 17-year-old's family needs $8,000 to get him there.

Since we introduced you to Caleb earlier this month, people have donated more than $4,000 to help him.

Another fundraiser is scheduled this weekend.

Several local bands, and Caleb himself, will perform Saturday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the LaFayette Rec Center.

It's a free concert, but donations will be accepted.

There is also an account set up at the Bank of LaFayette. You can call them or mail a check payable to Caleb Stallings Benefit for Paralympic Trials to the address below.
