CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) -- A total of seven area teams remain alive on the road to a state championship as Friday Night Football enters Week 13.

Three teams in Tennessee are still fighting in the TSSAA brackets, while two teams each in Georgia and North Carolina still have title hopes.

Boyd-Buchanan and Baylor both earned home dates this Friday, though the Bucs' was somewhat of a surprise. Top-seeded Trousdale County's second round loss to Friendship Christian means the Boyd will host the Commanders in this week's Class 2A quarterfinals.

Baylor is the top seed in Division II-AA, which came with home-field advantage throughout. The Red Raiders will host Christian Brothers in the state semifinals with a return trip to Cookeville on the line.

In Georgia, both Ridgeland and Calhoun survived the GHSA's first round. The Panthers will travel to perennial power Peach County in round two, while the top-seeded Yellow Jackets play host to Brooks County.

Rivals collide in North Carolina as Murphy and Andrews square off in the Class 1A quarterfinals. Murphy won the regular season meeting between the two schools, 28-13.
