CHATTANOOGA (UTC) -- University of Tennessee at Chattanooga football student-athlete Adam Miller earned a spot on the Collegiate Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Capital One Academic All-District team on Thursday.

Miller, a junior offensive lineman from Cohutta, Ga., has started every game at right tackle for the Mocs this season.

A preseason All-Southern Conference selection, Miller has a 3.74 grade-point-average as a Construction Management major. He is a two-time Academic All-SoCon honoree and has made 28 starts in his career.

Miller is the leader on the Chattanooga offensive line that has not allowed a sack in two of the last three games. The last penalty against the offensive line was on the first play from scrimmage at Elon on Oct. 22.

Miller is just the second Moc in school history to earn CoSIDA Academic All-District recognition, joining Freddie Patrick who won the award in 1997. He now has a chance to become Chattanooga football's first Academic All-American. Those honors will be announced on Dec. 8.
