Suspect steals framed money from a restaurant

DALTON, WHITFIELD COUNTY, GA (WRCB) --Dalton Police are looking for a suspect that stole a framed display with $200 in cash off of the wall of a local restaurant.

The incident happened shortly before 11 am, Wednesday, at Las Palmas Mexican Restaurant at 1331 West Walnut Avenue. 

As employees were getting ready to open the restaurant for business, a white male came into the building and took a framed display off of the wall behind the cash register and fled the scene.

The framed display contained two $100 bills, each signed with notes wishing the owners of the restaurant good luck.  One bill was inscribed with a note reading, "From your friend, Gus....good luck." The other bill was inscribed, "Good luck – Edward Santos."

The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-30's, with a goatee. The suspect is approximately 6'01" tall, with a slim build.  He wore glasses, a brown ball cap, khaki pants, and a gray hoodie sweatshirt.
