Man convicted in 2009 barbeque death

PIKEVILLE, BLEDSOE COUNTY (WRCB) – A guilty verdict has been handed down in a Bledsoe County murder trial.

A jury convicted Lonnie Angel, Junior, of second degree murder.

A fight apparently broke out between two other men on Angel's property during a barbeque in 2009, which led to the beating death of Donny Lawson.

Angel, and three other men, were all charged for Lawson's death.

Two men are already serving time.

The fourth suspect is still awaiting a trial date.
