CHATSWORTH, MURRAY COUNTY (WRCB) – The mayor of a small North Georgia town is behind bars on child sex charges.
Cary Rhodes was arrested Thursday in Chatsworth.
Authorities say he traveled from Taylorsville, where he serves as mayor, to meet a child for sex. But, he was met by FBI agents instead.
Rhodes is charged with attempted aggravated child molestation and violation of the computer pornography and child exploitation act.
