TRION, CHATTOOGA COUNTY (WRCB)-- An electrical burn sends a man to the hospital by Life Force, Monday.
Trion Police Chief Chad Spraggins says the incident happened on 11th Street while the victim was trimming a tree.
Witnesses told police the man was about 5 feet from the arch of a power line when electricity struck the metal harness he was wearing.
Chief Spraggins says the man was alert and talking while en route to Erlanger by Life Force, where he was treated for 3rd degree burns to his hand, left thigh and backside.
The victim's name has not been released, but Chief Spraggins tells Channel 3 he is an employee of an area tree trimming service.
