DALTON, WHITFIELD COUNTY (WRCB)-- An 82-year-old Dalton woman lived her teenage dream Friday night!
Billie Osborne graduated from Dalton High School in 1946.
She didn't want to be homecoming queen, but instead, wanted to be the school mascot of her alma mater.
"The Catamount mascot," Osborne says. "I have wanted to wear this for a long time!"
The Dalton High alumna didn't miss a 'beat' as she rallied the fans alongside the spirit squad as they cheered for their team.
"B-E-A-T, beat the Ramblers!"
And it meant as much to the crowd as it did to her.
The "Catamounts" defeated the Lafayette High School "Ramblers" 30-14.
An inmate was killed and a deputy was critically injured following a shooting at the Vanderbilt campus at 100 Oaks Mall on Wednesday afternoon.
