DUTTON, JACKSON COUNTY, AL. (WRCB)-- The Jackson County Sheriff says the discovery of a meth lab landed three people behind bars, Monday.

A Sheriff's deputy went to a home on County Road 124 in Dutton to serve an arrest warrant on Charles Mashburn.

Sheriff Chuck Phillips says the deputy arrested Mashburn and Cassandra Hammons after allegedly finding a "one pot" meth lab.

The sheriff says another suspect, Roger Smith, ran into the woods behind the home.

Smith was arrested following a search by deputies, state troopers and two police departments.

All three are charged with second degree manufacturing of methamphetamine.
