MCMINN CO., TN (WRCB) - For the first time in years, the McMinn County Sheriff's Office has busted up a moonshine still.
Deputies found the operation in an old dairy farm at the foot of Starr Mountain.
They call it "wine-shine" or home-made brandy.
Deputies found 50-gallon barrels of muscadine and apple wine along with the still, a cooker and a "worm" for distilling.
Sheriff Joe Guy, who serves as county historian, called the discovery fascinating.
He says criminal charges will likely be filed.
