Chris DorseyRED BANK, HAMILTON COUNTY, TN (WRCB) - Chris Dorsey has been fired from his position as Red Bank City Manager effective immediately.
The Red Bank City Commission voted to dismiss Dorsey at the end of Tuesday night's meeting.
Commissioner Floy Pierce tells Channel 3 she was one of three commissioners to vote Dorsey out. Vice Mayor Greg Jones and John Roberts were the other two.
Red Bank Mayor Monty Millard and Commissioner Ruth Juno voted against the measure.
Pierce would not comment on why Dorsey was dismissed, only saying she wants the best for the City of Red Bank.
Channel 3 attempted to reach Dorsey for comment, but was not able to.
Dorsey will be paid the remainder of his $45,000 contract.
Finance Director John Alexander will serve as interim city manager.
