Lamb and Heatherly win October CBA bass tournament

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - The team of Greg Lamb and Mark Heatherly from Harrison, Tenn., caught a five-bass limit weighing 18.20 pounds to win first place and $2,000 in the Allied Underground October CBA Open bass tournament.

Greg reported catching their fish on the lower end of Chickamauga Lake using frog type baits around shallow grass.

The highest finishing New Team Award went to the team of Jack Suites and Phillip Ledford earning them $100.

The team of Jim James Burkhart and Christopher Burkhart were they highest finishing Youth Division Team which earned them $60.


Rounding out the remaining top 9 places:

  • 2nd: Haden Lamb and Jeff Richmond 16.39., $700
  • 3rd: Chuck James and Brad James 16.43., $550
  • 4th: Roger Kendrick and Keith Ellis 16.01., $450
  • 5th: Jim Kestner and Clark Akins 15.89., $350
  • 6th: Rick Camp and Jamie Hatcher 15.45 lbs., $300
  • 7th: Galen James and Tony Townsend 15.39 lbs., $250
  • 8th: Jack Suites and Phillip Ledford 15.33 lbs., $200
  • 9th: Mark Varady and Kevin Keith 14.23 lbs., $150


Big Fish Winners:
Roy Dye and Drew Tompkin – 5.52 lbs. Largemouth - $270

Casey Hitchcock and Dalton Summers – 4.08 lbs. Smallmouth - $90
Nick Pratt and Chris Coffee – 1.73 lbs. Spotted bass - $90
