
VENICE, Fla. (UTC) -- Former Chattanooga Mocs women's golfer Emma de Groot finished tied for 42nd at LPGA Qualifying Tournament Stage II at Plantation Golf & Country Club in Venice, Fla., Friday to advance to the final round of Q School.
de Groot shot rounds of 72, 77, 70 and 71 for a two-over par total of 290.
The final stage of LPGA Q School is Nov. 30-Dec. 4 at LPGA International Champions and Legends Courses. It is a 90-hole event with a cut after 72 holes to top 70 and ties. The total number receiving full status on the LPGA Tour after the 90th hole has yet to be determined. There will be a maximum of 144 players in the field.
