Shaver and Morgan win September CBA on Chickamauga Lake

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) -  The team of Greg Shaver and Daniel Morgan from Dayton, Tenn., caught a five-bass limit weighing 18.35 pounds to win first place and $2,000 in the H & J Heating and Air September CBA Open bass tournament.

Greg reported catching their fish on the upper end of Chickamauga Lake using spinnerbaits and worms around shallow grass and wood cover.

The highest finishing New Team Award went to the team of Brent and Ben Hayes earning them a free entry into next month's event.

The team of Jim McClanahan and Colby Truelove were they highest finishing Youth Division Team and also earned a free entry into next month's tournament.

Rounding out the remaining top 10 places:

  • 2nd: Shawn Lusk and Andy Lusk 17.87., $750
  • 3rd: Galen James and Tony Townsend 16.43., $600
  • 4th: Mark Varady and Kevin Keith 16.01., $500
  • 5th: Chris Coleman and Jim Cross 15.89., $400
  • 6th: Josh Wofford and Bruce Wofford 15.45 lbs., $300
  • 7th: Jeff Reed and Allen Lewis 15.39 lbs., $300
  • 8th: Jim McClanahan and Colby Truelove 15.33 lbs., $200
  • 9th: Brent Tharpe and Brandon Roop 15.31 lbs., $200
  • 10th: Rogie Brown and Alan Brown 15.25 lbs., $150

Galen James and Tony Townsend – 2.87 lbs. Smallmouth - $120
