Celebrity Chef Visits Chattanooga

Posted: Updated:

Chattanooga (WRCB) A celebrity chef is helping out April 27th tornado victims. You may have seen Andrew Zimmern on the travel channel. Tuesday afternoon, he stopped by 212 Market, where he taught a cooking class to raise money for tornado victims.

Zimmern and 212 Chef Nick Goeller cooked for the "Raising the Roof" charity.

Zimmern says he's just happy he can do something to help. He says, "When natural disasters occur, the need goes on for years after the news cycle ends. And it's just great to be able to take a road trip for good. That's what our season of 'Appetite for Life' is all about. But on a personal level, it's extremely fulfilling."

The money raised will go to the community foundation's tornado relief fund.

Today's filming will air on "Appetite for Life" on msn.com in November.
