New school needed in Rhea County

RHEA COUNTY, TN (WRCB) In Rhea County it will cost nearly $30.9 million dollars to build a new high school there and that price doesn't include furniture and other equipment.

School leaders say a new high school is needed in Rhea County because of overcrowding issues.

The price of the new school includes renovations of the current high school to make it the new middle school.

The Rhea County Commission must approve the plan before it can move forward.
