Apartment fire leaves residents homeless

RED BANK, HAMILTON CO., TN (WRCB) - An early morning apartment fire destroys at least 2 units leaving residents needing a place to stay.

It happened around 1 A.M. Wednesday at the Chalet Apartment Homes on Dayton Boulevard.

The fire appears to have happened on the upper floors of the unit.

A former South Pittsburgh firefighter, who lives there, grabbed a garden hose and fought the fire until firefighters arrived.

Red Bank Firefighters along with Dallas Bay Firefighters responded to the call and quickly had the fire under control.

No injuries were reported and the Red Cross is assisting the residents.
