UPDATE 15: County-by-county road closures and conditions

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB)-- As remnants from Tropical Storm Lee move across the Tennessee Valley, heavy rains are causing some hazardous road conditions.

Police say  they have run out of barricades and to use caution when traveling.

If shelter is needed, please call the Chattanooga Red Cross at (423) 265-3455, or call the United Way's 211 resource directory.

As of 9:00 A.M. Wednesday :

HAMILTON COUNTY- The following roads are blocked due to flooding:

  • 400 Ochs Highway
  • W Road
  • 5600 Lake Resort Drive
  • 2600 Standifer Gap
  • 4100 Jersey Pike
  • 8700 Harrison Bay Road
  • 7400 Old Lee Highway
  • 7000 Short Tail Road
  • 8000 Old Lee Highway
  • 6400 Big Ridge Road
  • 9900 Standifer Gap Road
  • 2200 Williams Street @1-24

The following roads are blocked due to trees and wires down:

  • 3900 Mtn Creek Road
  • 6500 Big Ridge Road
  • 1300 Mtn Creek Road
  • 4300 Delashmitt Road
  • 1900 Morris Hill Road
  • 3700 Youngstown Road
  • 3400 Audubon Drive
  • 1200 Gunbarrel Road
  • 6700 Dupree Road
  • 3000 Wilcox Blvd
  • 7400 Bonny Oaks
  • 7400 Old Lee
  • 4400 Shelborne Drive
  • 8000 Old Lee Hwy
  • 6600 Gray Fryar Road

ATHENS - All roads are open.

BLEDSOE COUNTY- All roads open. There are reports of some downed trees

BRADLEY COUNTY- Several secondary roads closed due to standing water and downed trees.

CATOOSA COUNTY- Dispatch reports no closures at this time, but urge drivers to avoid the following roads due to rising water:

  • Mack Smith Road
  • Cross Street

CHATTOOGA COUNTY- Dispatch reports all roads are open.

DADE COUNTY- Dispatch reports the following:

  • Cave Spring Road-closed.
  • Deer Head Cove past Old Deer Head Cove-closed.
  • Creek road near Hangglider Park-closed.
  • 200 Block Sunset Drive-closed.
  • Sales Lane to Hwy 136 E. trees down .
  • Cherokee Trail from 29 block to the radio station-closed.
  • Mason Road-closed.
  • 5500 block of Slygo Road to Hwy 299- closed.
  •  Use caution on roads near Lookout Creek.

GRUNDY COUNTY- Dispatch says all roads are open.

MARION COUNTY- Dispatch says all roads are open, but a few minor traffic accidents have occurred. Drivers are urged to use extreme caution.

MCMINN COUNTY- County Road 28 closed due to flooding.  Officials say watch for debris on roadways.

MEIGS COUNTY- All roads open.

MURRAY COUNTY- Dispatch says all roads are open.

POLK COUNTY-
Benton: Dispatch says all roads are open.
Ducktown: Dispatch says all roads are open.

SEQUATCHIE COUNTY- Dispatch says all roads are open.

WALKER COUNTY- Dispatch reports all roads are open.

WHITFIELD COUNTY- Dispatch says all roads are open, but urge caution due to downed trees. The following roads should be avoided:

  • Reed Road
