ENGLEWOOD, MCMINN COUNTY (WRCB) – Firefighters spent the morning battling a house fire in the Nonaburg Community.

The call came in around 7:00 a.m. and firefighters found the home at 1114 County Road 461 fully engulfed.

Fire crews say the blaze started somewhere in the rear of the home and moved into the attic, proving difficult to fight.

Fire crews from the Englewood and Etowah Rural Fire Departments were aided by Claxton Rural Fire Department, Notchey Creek Volunteer Fire Department and Madisonville Fire Department.

In total, nine trucks and 27 firefighters were on scene to battle the blaze.

One firefighter was treated for heat exhaustion and another for a minor injury.
