UPDATED: Child hit by car while riding bike
CLEVELAND, BRADLEY COUNTY, TN (WRCB) - Cleveland Police are on the scene where a 13-year-old boy was hit by a car.
Evie West, spokesperson for Cleveland Police, says the boy was riding his bike in his driveway off Dalton Pike. The boy ran out into traffic and was hit by a white Trailblazer.
West says the driver, 30-year-old Aureliano Estrada, is not at fault in the crash. Police did cite Estrada for driving with an expired driver's license.
The boy was not wearing a helmet. Dispatchers tell Channel 3 he is being transported to Skyridge Medical Center. West says the boy was alert and conscious while talking to first responders. The extent of his injuries are not known.
