Chattanooga man arrested for 27th time
CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) – A Chattanooga man is in jail again after being arrested for the 27th time.
Thirty-eight-year-old Dedrick Lamont Lindsey was arrested on charges of aggravated statutory rape on August 30.
According to the Hamilton County Sessions Court records, Lindsey has been arrested 27 times since 1992 on a total of 70 different charges.
In March 2009, Lindsey was arrested on attempted first degree murder charges in the stabbing of Darrius Higgins. Lindsey was given a suspended sentence of four years after agreeing to plead guilty to aggravated assault in that case.
In December of 2010, Lindsey was arrested on charges of criminal trespassing, tampering with evidence, possession of drugs for resale, resisting arrest and evading arrest. His case was bound over to the grand jury, which appears to have never returned an indictment.
Lindsey is scheduled to appear before Judge Clarence Shattuck in Sessions Court on September 20 for the latest statutory rape charges.
