Man who held family hostage to be arraigned

LAFAYETTE, WALKER CO., GA (WRCB) - A Lafayette man accused of holding his ex-wife and son hostage is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday.

Freddy Lowe was arrested last month after an hour-long standoff with negotiators.

His ex-wife says Lowe burst through the back door and threatened to kill his family and himself.

She managed to call 911 when he wasn't looking and his 17-year-old son escaped.

A grand jury indicted Lowe on 10-charges.
