NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - A Tennessee inmate who escaped from a Department of Correction work crew was found in Texas where authorities there believe he robbed a bank.

The department said in a news release that 28-year-old Jacob Foster was working with a group of inmates on the interstate in Nashville last Wednesday when he ran from correctional officers.

Texas authorities said Foster matched a description of a man who robbed a bank on Monday and later that day Tennessee officials found Foster hiding in a box spring mattress in a home in Pflugerville (FLOO'-gur-vil ), Texas.

Foster was serving a 23-year sentence for several theft and burglary convictions out of Sumner County. He will face escape charges in Tennessee and Texas authorities plan to pursue bank robbery charges against him.
