JASPER, MARION COUNTY (WRCB) - Fire crews in Marion County had their hands full with a manufacturing plant fire overnight.

Seymour Manufacturing on Handle Street makes wooden handles for axes, picks, and other tools.

Fire officials tell Channel 3 the clippings from those handles caught fire, because they were too close to the boiler, causing damage to the boiler area.

Firefighters had to stay on the scene for a long time to dig through the clippings pile out to make sure all the fire was out.

Seymour Manufacturing will be closed for business for the next few days while they assess that damage and make repairs.

No one was injured in the fire.
