CHATTANOOGA (WRCB)-- The second annual "Life: Boomers and Seniors Expo" is underway at the Chattanooga Trade and Convention Center.

The expo, presented by our partners at the Chattanooga Times Free Press, has more than 100 vendors that offer members of our senior community travel, beauty, estate-planning and health-related information.

Headlining the event is arguably America's most famous "Mama" and comedic legend Vicki Lawrence. Lawrence starred in "The Carol Burnett Show" where she played numerous characters, including Thelma Harper, or "Mama", a blue-haired grandmother who could never seem to push her children out of the nest.

Burnett's show led to the NBC spin-off "Mama's Family" in 1983. The series ended in 1990, but that wasn't the end of Mama Harper. You can now see her in "Vicki Lawrence and Mama: A Two-Woman Show", which she performed during the expo.

"Good Lord! Mama's a little exasperated," Lawrence said to the Times Free Press. "Mama stays topical. She's a crazy old lady who says whatever she wants. She'll answer questions onstage and sing. Mama even raps about her life, and of course she does a big finale."

The Life Expo will continue until 6:00 pm. If you didn't buy tickets, don't worry, you can do so at the door!
