KODAK, Tenn. (WRCB) -- Tennessee pounded out 14 hits and took advantage of three Chattanooga errors in an 8-3 win Wednesday night at Smokies Park.

The win pulls the Smokies (34-25) back to within a game-and-a-half of the Lookouts (35-23) in the Southern League North Division. The two will conclude a five-game series Thursday night.

Tennessee scored in each of the first six innings while battering Chattanooga starter Will Savage (12-5) for six runs (five earned) on 12 hits.

Rebel Ridling, Steve Clevenger and Jonathan Mota each drove in a pair of runs. Clevenger and Mota both homered.

Travis Denker and Elian Herrera delivered back-to-back run-scoring singles in a two-run sixth for the Lookouts to close to within 6-3, but the Smokies added two more in the seventh to seal the win.

Alfredo Silverio also drove in a run for Chattanooga.
