CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) – While Hurricane Irene bears down on the East Coast, we are looking at the possibility of rain in our future.

The heat and humidity are starting to fire back up.  Temps will be in the mid-90s through the rest of the week, and the humidity levels will be increasing as well.

The chance of rain will come from a front that will pass through on Thursday afternoon.  It will produce a line of scattered storms that will move through the area around afternoon drive time (3-6pm).

Right now, the chance for severe weather looks low, but we will keep an eye on things closely.  Let's hope for SOME rain Thursday.  After that, we will be as dry as can be through at least the first part of next week.
