CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) – Chattanooga Police are looking for an elderly cancer patient they say robbed a pharmacy.

According to investigators, the elderly man entered the CVS on Hixson Pike shortly before 1:00 a.m. Tuesday. Officers say the man showed two guns tucked in his waistband and demanded Oxycodone and Zanex.

Witnesses tell police the suspect said he had live cancer and he would shoot the place up if he didn't get what he demanded.

Police say the pharmacist gave the man several bottles of pills and the suspect fled to an awaiting car in the parking lot.

No one was injured during the robbery. Investigators are still working on suspect information in this case.
