Second suspect arrested in E. 17th Street murder
CHATTANOOGA (WRCB)-- Chattanooga Police have made another arrest in connection with a July murder on East 17th Street.
Police spokesperson Nathan Hartwig says 22-year-old Deangelo Justice was the second suspect allegedly involved in a double shooting that killed 23-year-old James Williams and critically wounded his girlfriend, Yetta Harris.
Justice is charged with first degree murder, attempted first degree murder, three counts of especially aggravated robbery, aggravated assault, and felony reckless endangerment.
He's being held in the Hamilton County without bond.
The other suspect, Jerrico "RiRi" Hawthorne, was arrested on the same charges on July 30. Police found the known gang member two days after the incident at the Motel 6 on Lee Highway.
Hawthorne is also behind bars without bond.
