Chattanoogan employee arrested for bomb threat

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) – Chattanooga Fire investigators and Chattanooga Police say they have arrested a woman in connection with a bomb threat against the Chattanoogan hotel.

Police say 25-year-old Rachel Humphrey called in the bomb threat to get a couple of co-workers off work early. Humphrey is an employee of the Chattanoogan hotel.

The threat was made around 8:00 p.m. Monday.

Police and firefighters evacuated the hotel as a precaution and searched the hotel, room-by-room before allowing staff and guests to return. No device was ever found in the building.
