CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - Erlanger doctors showed off their latest cancer-fighting tool.

It's called the Cyber Knife, and it uses robotic technology to treat inoperable tumors.

Hugh Gardner is a retired TVA engineer, now battling prostate cancer.

He says he's not sure how many years it will add to his life, but it's making his life more comfortable.

"I have no more symptoms and it's working like the doctors said it would work," he says.

Erlanger is the only hospital in the region to use the Cyber Knife.

And it's one of the first sites in the world to use the advanced technology.
