I-75 near Cleveland reopened after serious accident

CLEVELAND (WRCB) - Interstate 75 near Cleveland was closed for part of the night Monday due to an accident.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol says it happened around 10:30 in the southbound lane near mile marker 29.

Serious injuries were reported and at least one person was flown to the hospital by Lifeforce.

The cause of the accident is under investigation. The interstate was back open by 4am Tuesday.
