3 gunmen sought in Latta Street homicide

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB)-- Chattanooga Police are searching for three men they say shot and killed a man early Saturday morning.

Police spokesperson Nathan Hartwig says officers were responding to a home invasion on Latta Street around 1:40 am when they found 25-year-old Charles MaCaine with a gunshot wound to his back.

He was taken to a local hospital for emergency surgery where he later died.

Hartwig says detectives are working to gather information about the suspects.

If you know anything about this incident you're asked to call the Chattanooga Police Department.

This is Chattanooga's 17th homicide of the year.
