Teens charged with East Ridge car break-ins
EAST RIDGE, HAMILTON COUNTY (WRCB) – Police in East Ridge say they have arrested two suspects in connection with a string of car break-ins.
Officers say 19-year-old Anthony Lansden, of Chattanooga, and 16-year-old brother were arrested shortly after 2:00 a.m. Friday in the parking lot of the East Ridge Retirement Center.
According to ERPD, police were called to North Mack Smith Road on a report of a suspicious person.
Police say Lansden had a GPS unit in his pants pocket that had been stolen from a nearby motel.
Lansden has been charged with burglary of an auto, theft, possession of marijuana and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He is scheduled to appear in an East Ridge courtroom on August 8.
Lansden's 16-year-old brother has been charged with burglary of an auto and theft.
