CHATTANOOGA (AP) - Victims of April's tornados have less than a week left to apply for federal assistance.
Homeowners, business owners and renters all are eligible for relief, even if they have insurance.
And those who already have made repairs may be eligible for reimbursement.
Those with storm-damaged vehicles who have liability insurance but not comprehensive insurance also are eligible for help.
Federal Emergency Management Agency officials say at least 4,500 East Tennessee victims already have requested aid, but there still are storm victims who have not applied.
FEMA spokeswoman Susan Solomon told the Chattanooga Times Free Press that people who were denied aid or told they needed to provide more information should inquire about their applications before next Tuesday's deadline.
Small Business Administration loan applications also are due on Tuesday.
