3 North Georgia teens face bomb-making charges
FORT OGLETHORPE, CATOOSA COUNTY (WRCB) - Three teens have been arrested on bomb-making charges in North Georgia.
Fort Oglethorpe Police were called to 701 Cory Circle around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday on a report of shots fired.
When police arrived at the scene, they found several homemade bottle bombs had exploded.
Officers also found several unexploded bombs made from household materials, and called in the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Bomb Squad to dispose of the devices.
Seventeen-year-old Tyler Lamar Jackson and two juveniles have been charged with manufacturing a destructive device. Under state law, Jackson is considered an adult.
Officers say none of the teens lived at the home on Cory Circle.
