ETOWAH, McMINN COUNTY (WRCB) - ThyssenKrupp Waupaca Inc. today said it's reopening its Etowah, Tenn., foundry early next year and hiring 250 workers.

The facility had been idled in January 2010 as a result of a significant downturn in the North American automotive and truck markets and a decrease in orders.

The company said the decision to reopen the Etowah facility represents ThyssenKrupp Waupaca's commitment to meeting the long-term supply requirements of its customers and confidence in future growth prospects.
